A Good Website for Tech News And Video Tools From HTML5

The Brief Of HTML5

Posted on December 4 2012 by Nancy in HTML5, Apple, Apple Safari, Apple mobile devices, HTML5 Showcase

What is HTML5?

HTML5 will be the new standard for HTML.HTML5 is still a work in progress. However, the major browsers support many of the new HTML5 elements and APIs.

HTML5 is a cooperation between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG).WHATWG was working with web forms and applications, and W3C was working with XHTML 2.0. In 2006, they decided to cooperate and create a new version of HTML.

Some rules for HTML5 were established:

New features should be based on HTML, CSS, DOM, and JavaScript

Reduce the need for external plugins (like Flash)

Better error handling

More markup to replace scripting

HTML5 should be device independent

The development process should be visible to the public

Every new Apple mobile device and every new Mac — along with the latest version of Apple’s Safari web browser — supports web standards including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. These web standards are open, reliable, highly secure, and efficient. They allow web designers and developers to create advanced graphics, typography, animations, and transitions.

HTML5 Showcase

The demos below show how the latest version of Apple’s Safari web browser, new Macs, and new Apple mobile devices all support the capabilities of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Not all browsers offer this support. But soon other modern browsers will take advantage of these same web standards — and the amazing things they enable web designers to do.
